A place where you can:
- Feel safe to share life’s challenges without fear of judgement or ridicule
- Develop your own self belief, grow in confidence and explore what you want for yourself and what you want from the world around you
- Show up just as you are with no need to impress, no need to look good and no need to be someone you’re not. To be yourself, to be authentic
- Talk about what gets you down, makes you feel low or where you feel disappointed
- Explore your ambitions & dreams. Where you can find strength and inspiration to make that next step or to take a first step
- Be celebrated for your achievements and what you’ve already accomplished in life and honoured and acknowledged for overcoming some of life’s challenges
We meet at regular intervals in a woodland near Lewes and sit in a circle around an open fire.

About us
We are a group of four men, deeply rooted in the Lewes community, where we’ve lived for many years and raised our children
On a regular basis, we meet up with each other to: listen without judgement, hold each other to account where we fall short, celebrate each other’s wins, provide emotional strength when life is too hard to deal with alone and inspire each other to fulfill our dreams
We have trained as facilitators through The ManKind Project and served as mentors with A Band of Brothers, (a local charity dedicated to guiding young men in Brighton and Eastbourne)
Together we have several decades of experience supporting men on their journeys and now we’re bringing our passion, experience, and expertise to the next generation. Through Spark, we’re here to support, challenge, and empower young men in a way that fosters real growth and transformation.

Dahlan
Director
Dahlan has lived in Lewes for over 20 years and is married with two sons in their twenties. With a lifelong career in advertising and broadcasting, he also has a deep passion for community engagement and personal development. He honed his facilitation and emotional support skills through The ManKind Project and is a founding member of a men’s group that has met weekly for nearly 18 years.
Neil
Designer / Maker
For over 17 years, Neil has been deeply involved in men’s groups, guiding and supporting others as a mentor with A Band of Brothers. He runs a web development agency and has been involved in designing and building the world famous Cliffe tableau for the past 17 years. His current passions are prop-making, hand-engraving, padel (like tennis) and travel

Loran
Marketeer
Loran has lived in Lewes for 15 years and is married with a son and a daughter aged 17 and 19. In 2018-2019 he travelled the world with his family for one year. Loran has been an entrepreneur for 25 years, including seven years living and working in Germany. He also has a deep passion for personal development and has been a mentor with A Band of Brothers for eight years, supporting young men involved with the criminal justice system.
Alex
Chef
Alex has lived in Lewes for 12 years, and has children in their late teens/early twenties. He has grown a successful catering business and for the last sixteen years has put on a much-loved woodland music festival. He’s been involved with the Mankind Project for the last four years and is acutely aware of the struggles young men face. To relax, Alex loves long, tough hikes in the mountains..neilturner.co.uk
